Bringing Branding Benefits to Beer

Ever since 1875, when the Bass red triangle became the first registered trademark, brewers have recognised the importance of on beer bottle branding, and now the latest printing technologies are being harnessed to achieve the best packaging impact for today’s brewers.

Beer bottle labels play a major role in ensuring that beer packaging has strong impact at the point of sale. Packaging technology is advancing dramatically, with innovations in the printing, production and application of beer labels, and a move away from the traditional wet glue labels to high impact self adhesive labels.

Recent developments in print technology have helped improve the aesthetic quality of self adhesive labels. High-end print techniques such as foils, special links and MetalFX provide a visually attractive label, able to fulfil brewer’s stringent brand values.

The economics of self adhesives have also been transformed with specialist label and packaging printers now available to produce high quality labels in economic short runs.

Traditional wet glue labels are applied by using adhesive on the bottling line. As they need to sit on the bottling line in a box or magazine each made specifically for a single label size and format, this process tends to limit the range of labels available.

By contrast, self adhesive label are pre-coated with adhesive and applied to bottles from a carrierweb. The process is cleaner, involves less complex machinery and can quickly be adapted to all label sizes and formats.

Traditional wet glue labels may suffer from the problems of drying out, tearing or fall off before they reach the customer. The technical specification of self adhesive materials can be tailored to ensure that each label type is fir for its purpose. By using appropriate adhesives, self adhesive labels can even be applied to web bottles on the line.

Such innovations ensure that labels remain in prime condition up to the point of sale.

I think I would like to agree with this one ” By using appropriate adhesives, self adhesive labels can even be applied to web bottles on the line. “, I read this from the above article and I quoted because in my own opinion this kind of branding will really work because many will really say that branding is one of the important things in a product and making a product.

Yes I have read this also to other articles in the web “Traditional wet glue labels may suffer from the problems of drying out, tearing or fall off before they reach the customer”, and that is why they made it to another level and a more high technology unlike this one because people need neat, clean and representable labeling. Anyway thanks for this article. Great job.

Printing on brand names must be done in an automatic way because it needs to be uniform and attractive and also a good branding will make a good market I guess and to those companies that have hig-end print techniques such as foils, special links and MetalFX provide a visually attractive label, able to fulfil brewer’s stringent brand values are semi higher than those who don’t because that is a major advantage.

After experiencing a higher than desirable level of bottle breakage with repurposed packaging equipment, some Company needed a solution to meet its non-traditional packaging demands, which include four different bottle types, multiple packaging sizes, and no carton dividers. It’s quite amazing how company’s really thought for the brand packaging, because in this way they think how the people will appreciate the brand and how can make their brand memorable.

Beer Branding is a branding on Beer which is usually happening now in modern days, as we can see there are many brands of beer and even in commercials there are lots of brands of beer having their commercials on television. I think what they have done is good and if I will have a beer company I would do the same thing and you know many people drink beer and it will never get lesser and it will not decrease, even some teens already drink beer in our modern world.

Thank you for the post, after reading your repost I’ve realized that Branding is the process of creating distinctive and durable perceptions in the minds of consumers. A brand is a persistent, unique business identity intertwines with associations of personality, quality origin, liking and more. There are a lot of advantages if your brand name is unique and can catch attention because in this so, people will not just remember he product but also its brand name.

Since Beer is an alcoholic beverage produced by the saccharification of starch and fermentation of the resulting sugar. The starch and saccharification enzymes are often derived from malted cereal grains, most commonly malted barley and malted wheat. Beer is one of the popular products in any country especially for men since many men love drinking beer with their friends or colleagues.

I think beers are healthier to drink than any other alcoholic beverages. Beers got pure carbohydrates but if you got high cholesterol, I think beers should not be taken… however, big companies made their names because of beers which only means that beers is preferred by many. But beer will be just ordinary kind of beer if you don’t put signature on it that will make it unique just like any other beverages or products. This article will sure give others idea on how to put signature on their products to make it one of a kind. Thanks

And it’s not just advertising. It’s not just packaging. It’s everything that that company does. It’s their employment policies, the trade policies that they adopt, what does the president say in a press release. All of those things inform an impression that somebody has around a brand. In light of recent events, I liked this portion of the article. I can think of two breweries that should take this advice to heart.
